So much going on, so little time. I've been away from the blog for a minute but I've been busy - as it seems that "busy" has become my "steady state". So no deep masonic thought today, just a recap of what's going on.
Writing Projects:
First, I'm working on a masonic novel that is tentatively titled "Noah's Legacy: Rude Awakening" and, while not a direct sequel to the "Noah's Quest" series, it will draw heavily on the story baseline I developed by following Noah Lewis around for two years. A reader could conceivably pick up "Noah's Legacy" and enjoy it without reading "Noah's Quest", but those who read the Quest series first will find the deeper, underlying story in Legacy much faster. So, what happened after Noah finished his quest? The answer lies in "Noah's Legacy".
Second, I'm writing a second book that I had not planned on at all. It came as a complete surprise when I suddenly found myself at the keyboard churning out text. This will be a big one and I anticipate at least a year of writing and may require a sabbatical of sorts.
Masonic Program Events:
I've just finished delivering my "Masonry in Oz" program to my home York Rite Chapter and it went very well - I honestly love presenting this program and watching the audience as I walk them through the movie! I'm up for delivering it on short notice if necessary but it can only be delivered in an audience of brothers who have completed their Capitular degrees.
Next program coming up is scheduled for March 5th at Perfect Union Lodge in San Antonio. I'll be delivering "A System Called Masonry" to the brethren of the lodge. It is suitable for EA's and above so if you're in San Antonio that evening I'm sure they have room!

I've begun making certain tabs and pages on my website ( www.amasonsjourney.com ) "members only". I've started with my Library and my Papers pages. If you're not already a member, you can create your account when you try to access the page - or you can use your FaceBook or Google logons to log in. I believe I will have the full site switched to "Members Only" (except the home page) by early spring.
Book Sales:
I will be at the Alzafar Shrine on Saturday, April 20, 2024 after 8:00AM to sell books. I will be supporting the Perfect Union Lodge Masonic Expo and the Grand Lodge of Texas Committee on Education Officer Leadership Training classes that will be held that day. There will be other masonic authors there as well so come on out and take part in the Masonic Expo and browse the book selections!
Yes my brothers, the old saying "the pattern is full" is still appropriate - my schedule never seems to slow, but I suppose that beats the alternative! Thank you for your continued support and I hope our paths cross very soon!
