It's true, I've decided to shed my luddite layer and take on FaceBook's "Live" chat function. I will be starting a series of "Sat Chats" (Saturday Chats) some time in November to talk about topics that catch my attention or that otherwise gnaw away on the dust catcher I call my mind.
I tested the FaceBook "Live" function on my "A Mason's Journey" FaceBook page with a brief oration on Masonic Leadership. It seemed to work and I even had a couple viewers, so there's that.
My plan is to pick one Saturday every month and host an evening Sat Chat on whatever the topic of the evening will be. I'll advertise the dates on my Website under "Events" and on my FaceBook page in case anyone would like to listen in. There is more to follow on this so stay tuned...
Also rattling around in my spacious, echo chamber of a cranium:
1. I will be making changes to the website over the next two weeks - the key change will be making some of the current pages "Members Only". I am NOT adding a fee for a subscription, it's just a function to ask visitors to join and add a member profile for some of the pages. I expect to start with my "Library" page first.
2. Still working on Volume II of "Noah's Quest" - still shooting for a final draft by December 31. Also, on the "Noah's Quest" page on the website you can now find a "FAQ" section. Just click on the icon to launch the FAQ list.
3. There may be a surprise announcement in November about another publication of the non-fiction genre. I can't go into details right now, but it seems that another effort that I've had going on in the background probably will come to fruition in mid-late November. More to follow...
4. I will be speaking at Triune Lodge #15 AF&AM on November 17th at their Stated Meeting. The topic will be "A System Called Masonry" along with an added discussion regarding the role of "lodge" in masonry.
5. I will be assisting our District Education Officer with this year's Randall E. Briscoe
Workshop on November 5th at Davy Crockett Lodge #1225 AF&AM. We will be registering attendees at 8:30 and the workshop opens at 9:00. This workshop is highly recommended for lodge line officers, especially Senior and Junior Wardens! Just an aside, this will probably be my last Briscoe Workshop as I hand the reigns over to the next generation of our educators and mentors!
I think that's it for now. Please check out my FaceBook page "A Mason's Journey" and stay tuned for the start of my "Sat Chats" coming in November.
I thank you for your time and your support and I look forward to future projects!
Travel on and travel frequently my brothers!
