Kicking Off 6025 A.L. With A Bang

Welcome to 6025 A.L. my brethren and I have to it's off to quite a start. As many of you know, I essentially dropped out of sight in September last year to take care of some major personal affairs and I am happy to say that most of that is now behind me. I made the decision in August to sell my house and move into a local retirement community and I've mostly - with the exception of a few remaining chores - settled in and returned to my preferred labors that include my research and writing.
I'm kicking off 6025 A.L. with a bang. I've launched three writing projects which are my priorities for 2025. First, I've begun work on my masonic biography, "Noah's Prism: Memoir of A Mason's Journey" and I'm making pretty good progress on that. I'm hoping to publish in the spring or summer and have it out on Amazon by end of summer.
My second project continues the "Noah's Legacy" series. In "Noah's Legacy: Finding Time", Noah is currently continuing his journey, experiencing his next trial and - I have to admit - this one is more complex than I anticipated. I've been reaching out to some other well-known masonic authors in the San Antonio area (and a little beyond) for their thoughts and ideas and things are beginning to gel nicely. I can't wait to see how this one is going to end and I am anticipating (hoping for) a fall publishing date.
So far, only one brother, a Maryland mason, has found the key and figured out the true storyline of the four books of the "Noah's Quest" series. Several brothers have figured out the key, but they have not yet used it correctly it to unlock the true storyline; in addition to me, there are still only two brothers who currently know the true meaning of Noah and his quest as it is laid out in the four books of the series. For those who enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt, the first step is to find the "key" and then use it to see the hidden treasure, the real message, or true story of "Noah's Quest". When you think you have solved both parts, the key and the true storyline, you can email me at amasonsjourney@gmail.com or contact me through my website and I will confirm your discovery, or I will send you back to the quarry to continue your labors! I would love to see several more brothers recover the lost story this year!
My third project is absolutely an experiment. It may actually end up as a "bonus book" attached to "Noah's Legacy: Finding Time", but I'm not sure yet. Because this one may become a special release I don't want to go into too much detail right now, but I can tell you that it will fill in some gaps and add details to the storylines of all of the Noah books. If I decide to attach it as a bonus to "Finding Time", I will need to have it ready by fall, but if I decide instead to release it its own publication, I would anticipate a release around Christmas.
I also already have three speaking engagements lined up. In March I will speak to the brethren at Victory Lodge, in August I will be at Guadalupe Lodge, and sometime after that I will be presenting a York Rite program. I have to admit the York Rite program has become something of a personal favorite and I hope to deliver it at least three times this year. Unfortunately, the audience for the York Rite program is limited to those who have completed their York Rite Chapter and Council degrees, so that will automatically limit how many times I will be asked and will be able to provide it in the coming year.
At some point during the year I will have to make a final decision on my website. My web host doubled the annual hosting fee and I'm not sure that the level of traffic on my site justifies the cost. Perhaps traffic will pick up, perhaps I will scrap the site, at this point it is far too soon to know with any certainty. NOTE: I am working on a technical issue; if you go to the website and receive a dialogue box, that blocks you from the main page, you should be able to click "CLOSE" at the bottom and continue on if you don't want to provide an email address. I'm not entirely happy with the web host and its editing toolbox, so that may also feed into my decision on the future of the site.
Between all of my writing and speaking projects and my lodge activities, it's going to be a busy 6025 A.L.; my goal is simply to keep up! I encourage my brothers in every jurisdiction to find your direction and advance your own journey this year! There's no time like the present and we know not what the future holds!
Travel on worthy brothers!
