New Book and New Year's Reflections

The end of year rush is on to meet my final goals for 2022 and it looks like this was the week I hit my remaining major milestones! I am happy to report - at least to myself - that I have met my major goals for 2022. As always, there are a few minor objectives I would have liked to meet, but since I hit my major goals I am perfectly happy to declare victory!

On Thursday, Perfect Ashlar Publishing announced that my non-fiction piece "Guard Well Our Craft" is on the street and can now be purchased through Amazon (click the pics of the book). This book is a compilation of four of my papers on the state of our craft today and which address things we are doing, things we are talking about, and things we are proposing to do to "fix" masonry or modernize the craft. I ask you to withhold your judgement on these ideas until you have read "Guard Well Our Craft"!

Also on Thursday (and a day early for the record), I sent

Noah's Quest Volume II: "Eternal Awakening" to Perfect Ashlar Publishing. Volume II is now "in the can" and I will move on to Volume III in early 2023! As volumes II and III come out, it's time for readers to start trying to figure out the embedded theme of the series! There is absolutely an underlying story line that is perhaps not readily apparent, but one that I think represents my true objectives for Noah and his quest!

These two books will bring my 2022 to a close and I couldn't be happier! I want to thank Bro. Chris Galloway of "Perfect Ashlar Publications" for his help and his drive at getting my books on the market! You can find out more about his effort and also find the link to his page simply by clicking this link: PERFECT ASHLAR PUBLICATIONS

To my "Peer Reviewers" who toil in anonymity, helping me fine tune my books, I thank you for your time and your contributions to my publications. There are a few reasons for withholding the names of the Peer Review teams, but I am certainly in debt to them for their time and their priceless feedback! The peer review team for Noah's Quest Volume II provided exactly the feedback I needed to make sure the book and the story line portrayed what I wanted and what I thought it did! Honest feedback from objective reviewers is critical to figuring out how readers will interpret our work and I am in debt to four brothers - two Texas masons and two non-Texas masons - who reviewed "Eternal Awakening".

And to the readers and supporters of my website and books, I especially thank you all! You have given voice to my thoughts through my web, blogs, and books and at last I feel like I am at least "on the record" with my thoughts, ideas, and opinions, regardless of who and how many may agree with me! It's not about "being right", it's more important to "be heard", right or wrong! Thank you everyone!

I want to wish everyone a Happy 2023 and I look forward to seeing where Noah will take us on his quest and what lessons we may learn along the way! 2023 will be a big year for me and I can say this, I will resolve several big questions in 2023 and the future of "A Mason's Journey" will finally be decided. I cannot say now what December 2023 will look like, but I can say that I am now, finally prepared to address some decisions I've been putting off for many years. So, let's just close this by saying: "2023? Gonna be big... really big"!

Happy New Year my brothers, one and all!
