So much going on, so far behind. I have found myself in the unusual position of being both behind in my work and ahead at the same time. I am finishing the peer review process for "Noah's Quest Volume III: Faithful Craftsman" and I'm making some substantive edits and additions to that, plus I've begun "Noah's Quest Volume IV: TO BE NAMED LATER".
Based on some of the preliminary feedback from peer review on Volume III, I've begun the initial draft on Volume IV and that requires some additions in Volume III that will serve as the "anchors" or "call backs". I suppose out of all this activity the good news is that work on Noah's Quest is underway and I'm still hopeful of a July release of "Noah's Quest Volume III: Faithful Craftsman".
In the middle of all of the current activity, I sent a draft of another non-fiction work called "In and About the Lodge" to "Perfect Ashlar Publishing" . It is another collection of my articles and papers with the main focus on one called "A System Called Masonry". This book uses my articles to examine and discuss the role of "the lodge" in a masonic journey. My hope is that this book will be out in the next couple weeks.
As I type this update I'm also gathering my equipment and materials for my presentation titled "Masonry in Oz" which I will be delivering to my AMD Council. It took me several months of research to uncover true masonic connections (via brothers) to the original book and the movie, and then lay out my analysis of the movie against one of our most enlightening degrees that constitute the Royal Arch Chapter. By the time this article is read by most the presentation will have already occurred, but I am anxious to take this work out for a test drive! If it is successful, I plan to make it available for delivery in any forum constituted of Royal Arch Masons which will limit me to delivering it in a Chapter, AMD Council, or perhaps even a York Rite College.
Oh, and in the background, I've stumbled on an interesting historical collection of documents on the "Odd Fellows" and I will be adding them to my online library on "A Mason's Journey" over the next few weeks, so if you're curious check out my Library tab on the website!
So yes, it's true, I've allowed another several weeks go by without posting or updating my blog, my FB Blog (A Mason's Journey), or my FB Education Group (BroBill's Masonic Education), but I've prioritized progress on my objectives over the frequent updates.
I thank you all for your patience and support - and a particular shout out to my Peer Review team that is currently reviewing Noah's Quest Volume III - and I hope my current efforts find an audience that can use and appreciate them!
Travel on my brothers! Move your journey forward!
