Temporary Distractions & Obligations

I promise I haven't forgotten my blog or the website. My year in the East at my lodge is winding down and I am devoting nearly all of my time to completing my programs and preparing my lodge for transition to a new team.

I am expecting my successor to be installed as Worshipful Master in early July, so once we get passed that event, I can return much of my attention to the blog and website.
It's not all lodge business, at least not in the sense of day-to-day management of the lodge. On April 25 I served as one of our presenters at the Annual Scholarship Awards Program at one of my lodges and I delivered a brief address to our high school recipients. The topic was "The Beginning of a Journey" in which I gave them (and their families) a little insight as to the masonic concept of a journey and discussed how they themselves are at their own starting point.
This coming Saturday, on May 14th, I am hosting my other lodge's Annual Masonic Service Award Program where we will present our 25, 40, and 50-Year Masonic Service Awards. I'm putting together a special program for our recipients and it will include a brief address on the symbolism and masonic relevance of "milestones". The details for this presentation are available on my "Events" tab on the website.
So, I am staying quite busy, but I do plan to get back to my writing and web work here as fast as I can. In the mean time, please browse the website and check out my book reviews, my reference library, and my papers. Oh, and be prepared for some major changes to the site coming this summer as I wrap up the first phase of a major writing project - a project so important to me that I will create a special section and presentation here on the website to showcase it!
Thank you my brethren and you will see more of my work soon!
Bro. Bill
Brother Bill, as always, I am amazed at you dedication. I look forward to seeing more blog entries in the future!
