Where Has the Time Gone?

My how time flies! Yes, I know I am falling way behind in my blog and my FB blog. But, the news isn't all bad!

Let me lead with the good news - that being that I've made good progress building out my reference library! Just go to my "Library" tab and scroll down to "Reference Library" and you will find the stash of references.
Now for the bad news. Yes, I'm falling behind on several projects I want to finish here on the web page. I have at least two blog topics I want to write about, and I found three of my early papers that I had intended to post by this time. But there's that word again - "time".
My absolute favorite masonic reference is to the fact we are "traveling that level of time to that undiscovered country, from whose bourne no traveler returns". It is perhaps one of the most significant representations we find in masonry that reminds us we get one pass through this life and we don't get to come back and try again. Here I find myself, traveling that level of time and trying to squeeze in the seemingly uncountable things I find I need to do to meet my various obligations to the fraternity and my brothers.
But I will meet those obligations and I will continue my journey to that undiscovered country and I ask only your patience while I whittle away at the many tasks I have taken on. I leave you with this tidbit to consider: many see the masonic hour glass and scythe and assume they represent life and time. They are mostly right, but most people incorrectly assign them. The hour glass usually represents our life with the sands slipping by while the scythe reminds us that at any time we may be cut down by forces beyond our control, rather our time here is under the control of another. Taken together, the hour glass and scythe remind us to live our best life and to do those things of which we dream!
